Super chill spot to eat at. The food is delicious and the desserts are as well! The gooey butter cake for dessert is a winner. ALOHA!

i like the revolving sushi so i do love this place. only problem is a single sushi is so expensive 😭😭 great place for 3-4 person i believe so everyone can taste various flavor w/o wasting

I love to eat at Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in Berkeley! I come frequently, as it is definitely a favorite for me, my friends, and my family. It’s a fun, modern place to eat. The dining area is clean and sunny (with big windows letting the Berkeley sunshine stream in), and I find the conveyor belt that carries the sushi plates and the robot that brings the water and wasabi to the table so cute! I like how you order by the plate (most plates are $4.10), which means you can have as much or as little as you can afford or feel hungry for. I’ve come here for just a plate or two before, and I’ve also come with friends and accumulated tall stacks of plates. (If you order enough plates, you might even win cute prizes that are dispensed from above the ordering console at every table!) The environment and concept are wonderful, but the food here speaks for itself. When it comes to sushi, there’s a variety of choices that range from traditional to modern. The fish and meat are always fresh, the rice is always perfectly sticky and well-seasoned, and the nori is always crisp—especially if you order on the console because then it will come straight to your table from the kitchen on a conveyor b

I had some bad experiences at other Kura locations, so I was a little hesitant to eat over here, but it all turned out great! I had a reservation and checked in with the staff when we arrived at the restaurant. We still had to wait about another 15 min for our table to be ready. It's not too bad, but I'm not sure what the purpose of making a reservation is if there's still a wait. All of the sushi tasted better than I expected. The sushi rice held together well, not too gummy, mushy, or overcooked. And the rice was glossy, hydrated, but not too wet or soggy. The ingredients tasted fresh, and I didn't have any stomach discomfort after getting home. Highly recommended!

Made my kids happy with the conveyor and prize experience. I did like the plate disposal experience. Overall, I was disappointed with food, with ramen being the biggest disappointment. The pork slices were not fresh, very chewy, and didn’t taste right. Overall not the best value for portion sizes. If you like gimmicks, this is the place for you!
